Artist research page/homework sheet for Nikki Farquharson, an artist who works with pattern and colour. Students will then work in the style of the artist in the following lesson; lesson PowerPoint includes a ‘common characteristics’ worksheet for students to work individually or in pairs to write down as many visual elements they can see in the work (answers included for those teaching, for example: colour, pattern, line, fashion and portraits). Images included for pattern examples and people (these can be cut out and used for the person in their artwork, or drawn from or partly drawn depending on student ability). To help the students create a Nikki Farquharson inspired piece.
